What this comparison shows you
Two versions of a document can look identical and still differ in the one line that matters — a changed price, a renamed street, a dropped "not". This checker compares line by line: lines present in both stay plain, a changed line shows the old version in red and the new one in green, and lines that exist on only one side are counted as removed or added. It is the fastest way to answer the question "what actually changed between these two drafts?"
How to use it
- Paste the original into the left box and the new version into the right box.
- Read the highlighted result below — red is gone or changed, green is new or changed.
- The counters at the top summarise the scale of the edit.
Frequently asked questions
Is the comparison line-based or word-based?
Line-based: each line is compared with the line in the same position on the other side. If you inserted a whole new line near the top, later lines will show as changed because their positions shifted — the counters still tell you the true size of the difference.
Is my text uploaded for comparison?
Never — the comparison runs in your browser like every TextBroom tool, so contracts and drafts stay on your device.
